timeBanking/Lamoni is made up of people from all over the community who want to offer their skills and services to others in exchange for others helping them.
At its most basic level, timeBanking/Lamoni is simply about spending an hour doing something for somebody in our community. That hour goes into the member’s timeBanking/Lamoni Bank as a Time Dollar which tB/L members can spend on having someone do something for them. It's a simple idea, but it has powerful ripple effects in building community connections.
timeBanking/Lamoni is built on the premise of Core Values.
Assets - We are all assets. We all have something to give.
 Redefining Work - Some work is beyond price. timeBanking/Lamoni values whatever it takes to raise healthy children, build strong families, revitalize neighborhoods, advance social justice, and make the planet sustainable. These challenges are  acknowledged and rewarded.
Reciprocity - Helping works better as a two-way street. The question, “How can I help you?”  changes to “How can we help each other build the world we both live in?”
Social Networks - We need each other. Networks are stronger than individuals. Special relationships are built on commitment.
Respect - Every human being matters. We will  respect where people are in the moment, not where we hope they will be at some future point.
timeBanking/Lamoni believes that everyone has something to offer. Simple, everyday activities are the majority of what gets exchanged in tB/L.  Everyone is an asset in the group. Participants are more than welcome to offer professional skills but it is not required to be a member. Members offer skills and services from companionship to haircuts. Everyone has something to offer and everyone is encouraged to become a member.
In today’s world, time is extremely precious.  Many of the services people offer through tB/L are things that they may be doing anyway.  time/Banking Lamoni  is a resource that frees up time for busy people and gives them an opportunity to easily reach out to others.
