Welcome to Germantown Resource Exchange!
A service exchange or time bank is a network of individuals, organizational and business 'members' that provide services, track their hours and then spend those hours to get their own needs met. A service exchange is NOT a barter network. One 'member' provides a friendly, neighborly favor to another and records the time they spent doing so. They can then, in turn, use that time earned from helping their neighbor to 'pay' another neighbor to provide a favor for them.

Yes you do! Offers and requests have a wide span and cover anything from helping someone in a garden to giving a ride to a doctors appointment, to assisting an elderly person in their home. More creative gives could be business coaching, help with a craft, or giving a yoga lesson. Offers and requests can be technical (help building something) or just fun (a cooking class). Check out this comprehensive list for ideas of what you can offer.
Happy Timebanking!
